Construcción con eficiencia energética en Buenos Aires

CasaE (The BASF House) is a sustainable housing prototype that can save up to 70% of energy consumption as it has been built with materials and technologies to cause a low environmental impact. It is located in Greater Buenos Aires, in Tortuguitas Town. This new project seeks to promote sustainable construction. This building represents an experimental model that will be used to test new technologies, thus becoming a space where architects, builders and clients would be able to develop eco-friendly devices.

McDonald’s new innovation has implemented rational and efficient water use standards, which have already been implemented in other international McDonald’s restaurants. This new eco-restaurant is set up in the Kilometer 50 of Pamanericana Highway (Pilar exit). Besides, this new facility offers an amazing wind power unit (wind turbine) in order to produce wind power.

Haití: una alternativa verde para ayudar a la reconstrucción del país

The New Mexican Architect Michael Reynolds and two developers will travel to Haiti in order to analyze the land condition and decide on what could be done to help the devastated country. Reynolds has developed Earthship, self-sufficient and earthquake proof eco-houses. Recycled materials are used to build these houses, especially old car tires filled with rammed earth, which are used in work foundations.

The French Architecture Office Karawitz Architecture has developed a passive bamboo house in Bessancourt, near Paris, France. Under passive house energy efficiency standards, the side of the house facing north has been closed in order to reduce heat loss and the one facing the south offers an open design in order to take advantage of sunlight.
